Between the wish and the thing life lies waiting. --Traditional Proverb I wish I had better skin. I wish I didn't have to look at rosacea and hormonal dark patches every day. I wish I had soft feet. I wish I knew what it was like to be "the pretty one" instead of "the smart one". I wish aging was easier and not accompanied by failing health. I wish politics would go away. I wish Israel would give the Palestinian people the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. I feel bad that the Palestinian people have no land to call home. I wish there was a home for all the homeless people. I wish there was a job available for everyone who wanted one. I wish college didn't cost so much. I wish every high school graduate could attend college if they chose to. I wish I had a staff to do the cooking, cleaning and grocery shopping for me. I don't want to live in a mansion, I like my house just fine. I just don't like taking care of it. If I had a staff I would treat them l...
My Halloween decorations are pretty much finished. They won't be completely finished until the day after Halloween when I take them down because I will continue to add stuff and rearrange if I run across other things that I like. My mother had a huge display case in there that held all her creepy dolls and there were other knick knacks and dust catchers that no one but the paperboy ever saw because no one used our front door. Waste o' space. I've decided to make t...
I have some exciting news! I got a little part time job that I wasn't even looking for! It sort of found me and I swear we are a match made in heaven. I am now the Social Media Connector for Canvas Corp Brands, LLC . No, that doesn't mean I get to play on Facebook all day long but it does mean that I get to do what I already do and use what I've already learned to help a company that I've fallen in love with. Everybody wins. Canvas Corp Brands (CCB) is the parent company of 7gypsies , Tattered Angels , and Canvas Corp (or Canvas Home Basics) . It is based in Springdale, Arkansas and owned by Randy and Christine Meier. Most of the products they carry are made at their facility in Springdale while a few things are sourced globally for more variety. CCB has a fantastic blog that provides a daily dose of inspiration, an online shop where you can pick up one of each of all their product lines, and an actual outlet store there in Springdale where you can find some incredib...
